The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has added 8 new DC fast-charging stations at rest stops on major highways in BC.  Along with the rest area additions, the Ministry has supported the installation of fast-charging stations in Tofino and Britton Creek, as well as 3 new level 2 stations in the Kootenays, which are part of the Accelerate Kootenays EV charging network coordinated by the Community Energy Association .

Upon project completion, BC’s charging network will include 64 fast-charging stations and over 1000 level 2 stations.
